Whispers has a tentative opening date for Little Rock’s first Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux: Nov. 13.
That’s according to Scot Albright, operating partner for the store, a 7,500-SF space at 16103 Chenal Parkway at Chenal Marketplace, former site of a Mellow Mushroom pizzeria.
The restaurant and sports bar will be the fifth Walk-On’s in Arkansas and the fourth in the state for a franchising group headed by Chris McJunkins, who has Walk-On’s in Conway, Fayetteville and Rogers. The fifth restaurant, in Fort Smith, has a different owner.
Walk-On’s has a Cajun-inspired menu with appetizers like boudin balls and entrees like crawfish etouffee.
The McJunkins group is also looking at locating a Walk-On’s in Jonesboro if it finds the right site, he said.
“We’ve been working on the store for a long time, and we can’t wait to get it open,” Albright said.
