Dr. Kristin Markell
Washington Regional Medical Center opened its Washington Regional Integrative Gynecology Clinic in Johnson on Tuesday.
The clinic at 3561 Johnson Mill Blvd., Ste. 102, will be run by Dr. Kristin Markell, a board-certified gynecologist who had practiced at Washington Regional Health Clinic for 10 years before completing an integrative medicine fellowship in 2019 at the University of Arizona’s Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.
Integrative medicine incorporates nutrition, supplements and herbal support, movement, mind-body care and specialized functional testing recommendations.
Markell earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed her residency there, serving as co-chief resident. She is also a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is completing 200 hours of yoga teacher training at Arkansas Yoga and Therapy Center.
The clinic will provide gynecology services and integrative medicine consultations.
