2 min read

Waymack & Crew of Little Rock announced Wednesday that it had purchased M-3 Productions, the video, digital and audio production studio owned by Little Rock ad agency CJRW.

A sales price was not disclosed. M-3, formerly Jones Film, moved into new quarters at Third and Main in downtown Little Rock in August. The renovated building houses a 2,000-SF sound stage that includes a 61-foot cyclorama wall with green screen and multiple background options and a 14-foot lighting grid.

CJRW bought Jones Film in 2006.

In a press release, Waymack owner Dan Waymack said he had been in negotiations with CJRW for several months and that M-3’s state-of-the-art facilities would enable him to devote more time to projects in the state.

Waymack & Crew has produced television commercials for clients including Allstate Insurance, Ford Motor Company, the U.S. Army, Aleve, Kellogg’s and the PGA. In Arkansas, it has produced work for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Southland Gaming & Racing, Conway Regional Hospital, Arkansas Tech University, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, Arkansas Parks & Tourism and Oaklawn Racing & Gaming.

CJRW Chairman and CEO Darin Gray said the sale of M-3 Productions was part of its “long-term strategies” gives the agency and its clients “the best of both worlds.”

“On the one hand, we’ll continue to have access to the state’s top video and audio production facilities as well as the talented professionals of Waymack & Crew,” he said. “This allows us to broaden the perspectives and creative talent we bring to bear when it comes to broadcast production. It also reflects our commitment to apply agency resources where there is the most client demand and growth potential.”

Waymack said the purchase allows his firm to plan for continued expansion of its services.

“This acquisition puts us in a position to ensure we continue to grow and expand our client base,” he said. “To be able to do that from right here at home in Arkansas is great not only for the company, but for the city and state.”
