Stephens Group LCC on Wednesday announced that it has hired Whit Kilgroe as general counsel.
Kilgroe takes over for Ron Clark, who will continue serving as chief operating officer, the private investment firm said in a news release.
As part of his duties, Kilgroe is actively involved in Stephens Group’s mergers and acquisitions and securities matters.
Kilgroe had a similar role in mergers and acquisitions at his previous job as associate general counsel at Walton Enterprises LLC, according to the release.
Before then, he was chief counsel of mergers and acquisitions at Koch Industries.
Kilgroe started his legal career at the private firms of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Jones Day.
