1 min read

Magnolia Regional Medical Center (MRMC) announced Thursday the appointment of William Giles as the organization’s new CEO.

Giles has more than 30 years of experience in health care and financial leadership, including a background in improving operations in rural health settings. He succeeds Brett Kinman, who resigned in April after three years in the role.

Throughout his career, Giles has served in both CEO and CFO roles in various health care settings across the country. He has worked on improving financial performance, building collaborative relationships with local leaders and enhancing patient services.

A press release from MRMC said he has led several successful hospital turnarounds and helped secure grant funding for vital equipment and service improvements.

“His deep experience in hospital operations and financial stability uniquely positions him to lead our hospital into a strong and sustainable future,” Dr. John Alexander, Chairman of the MRMC Board of Directors, said in the release.

Giles holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

“I’m honored to join the dedicated team at Magnolia Regional Medical Center,” Giles said in the release. “I believe in the power of rural hospitals to provide high-quality, compassionate care, and I look forward to working closely with our staff, providers and community leaders to continue serving the people of Magnolia and the surrounding region.”
