Brad Delco, senior vice president of finance, has been promoted to chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance at J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. of Lowell. “Brad’s deep background in finance and capital markets, coupled with his transportation industry knowledge, continues to fuel our financial strategy as we look toward disciplined future growth and greater returns on our strategic investments,” CEO Shelley Simpson said in a news release announcing Delco’s promotion.
Delco has worked at J.B. Hunt since 2019, starting as vice president of finance and investor relations. In that role, he was responsible for overseeing and managing all investor relations activities for the company. Additionally, he has led corporate development, financial planning and analysis, as well as contributed to the company’s wider strategies. He headed J.B. Hunt’s Elevation ideation program, which aims to find, develop and implement employee-submitted ideas. Before joining J.B. Hunt, Delco spent 14 years at Stephens Inc. of Little Rock. There, he worked as an associate, managing director and research analyst. He specialized in corporate finance and equity research, focusing on the transportation industry. “Our entire organization is focused on operational excellence, cost discipline and scaling our investments,” Simpson said in the release. “This change will align our leadership strengths to support our continued focus on driving results that deliver shareholder value.”
Delco received his bachelor’s degree in business from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
