Zips Car Wash of Little Rock said Wednesday that it has acquired four Cascades Car Wash locations in and around San Antonio, Texas.
The company, founded and led by Brett Overman, said the company plans to build a fifth location in the area.
“This acquisition means we are now operating 72 locations in nine states and we are excited to bring the Zips Culture to more customers in San Antonio,” CEO Overman said in a news release. “In 2016, we washed over 7 million vehicles and with this growth, as well as our recent acquisitions in Louisiana, we hope to surpass last year’s accomplishments and bring our stewardship of service to even more customers.”
Zips already operated two car washes in San Antonio. It plans to build a new location in the city of Schertz.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The company, which was founded in northeast Arkansas, has been in acquisition mode, purchasing more than 40 location last year. In August, it acquired Boomerang Car Wash of Little Rock — a transaction Overman said created North America’s third largest tunnel car wash company.
The company has car washes in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi.
