Acxiom Corp. employees will remain in Conway and Little Rock, some working for LiveRamp and others for Acxiom Marking Solutions, the business unit Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. of New York is buying for $2.3 billion, Acxiom Corp. EVP Jerry Jones said Tuesday.
As part of the deal that is expected to close by the end of the year, Acxiom will be renamed for its remaining business unit, LiveRamp, and move its headquarters to San Francisco.
LiveRamp will also have a presence in Conway and Little Rock following the sale, but details have not been worked out yet, Jones told Arkansas Business.
Last year, Acxiom Corp. executives said the company had about 1,500 workers at its Conway headquarters and a 14-person legal team in Little Rock. The company has a global workforce of about 3,300.
“We do not anticipate any significant changes to our campus or really any significant changes to the total number of people who will be working for Acxiom Marketing Solutions,” Jones said. “…We intend to keep our associates well informed as we move through the process. We have been meeting with our associates all day, and I think that there is a good understanding of really good opportunites that are in front of our people.”
As for LiveRamp, “There will be several of us here. Some will be working in Little Rock. Some will be working in Conway” and there won’t be any significant changes to personnel at LiveRamp, he said.
