You may recall the sudden resignation in August of Kim Lane, who had been CEO of The Conductor in Conway, a public-private initiative of the University of Central Arkansas, Startup Junkie of Fayetteville and the Central Arkansas Venture Team.
What you may not know is what she’s up to now: Lane told Whispers she has joined Facebook as a consultant on its Career Connections team.
Career Connections is an initiative that connects emerging talent to local internships, training opportunities and a network of professional mentors, according to its website.
Lane will work to expand the local efforts of the program by connecting innovative companies with Facebook-trained collegiate talent. She has worked with the Career Connections team previously, when Facebook launched a pilot of the program in Arkansas last year.
