The Inn at Mountain View is another victim of COVID-19.

Its owners, Kevin and Melissa Mitchell, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation last month, listing $548,425 in debts and $575,740 in assets.

The couple lives at the 10-bedroom bed-and-breakfast, which is listed on the National Historic Register.

Built in 1886, the Southern Victorian home is for sale with a listing price of $695,000.

The bankruptcy filing shows the couple owes about $500,000 for the 8,600-SF home.

The Mitchells have been the innkeepers at the B&B for six and a half years.

As you know, the hotel industry in Arkansas and nationwide has taken a beating because of COVID-19 pandemic.

For each of the last two years, the couple’s gross income was about $100,000.

But from Jan. 1 through Aug. 12, it was only $13,463.

Attorney James F. Dowden of Little Rock is handling their bankruptcy case.
