E.C. Barton Plans Six New Locations in 2025

1 min read

Home improvement retailer E.C. Barton & Co. of Jonesboro announced plans to open six new stores in 2025, growing the number of its Home Outlet locations to 112 locations in 20 states.

The new stores will be located in Athens, Georgia; Newnan, Georgia; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Mooresville, North Carolina, and Clarksville, Tennessee. The “highly coveted” markets have been targeted by E.C. Barton for some time, company President Mark Biggers said in a news release.

Biggers said the new stores align with the company’s growth objectives. It has been adding about five new stores annually, some through organic growth and others through acquisition.

Over the past five years, E.C. Barton has opened 20 new Home Outlet locations and acquired four locations in Texas through the purchase of Seconds & Surplus of Dallas, a supplier of building materials. It expanded the Seconds & Surplus brand by opening a fifth location.

With the new stores, E.C. Barton would have 127 locations across its three brands.
