Darragh CEO Rich Dunlap Retires; Ted Darragh Named as Successor

1 min read

Rich Dunlap has retired as CEO of Darragh after 27 years with the Little Rock construction supplier, the company announced.

The move took effect July 1. Ted Darragh, president of the family-owned company, was named as Dunlap’s successor.

Dunlap will remain with the company as vice president of sales over the coming months, supporting the leadership team and helping to onboard Ted Darragh as CEO, the company said in a news release.

Ted Darragh represents the company’s fourth generation of family leadership. In a statement, he said, “Rich’s leadership has shaped who we are today, and we are incredibly grateful for his years of dedication. As we move forward, we remain committed to our customers, our people, and to building on the strong foundation he helped create.”

In recent years under Dunlap’s leadership, the company expanded its number of locations to 16 through the acquisition of businesses including Service Construction Supply of Birmingham, Alabama, and Morgan Tool & Supply of Shreveport, Louisiana.

The company also rebranded from Darragh Co. to Darragh, uniting its divisions under a single name, and consolidated its operations in Memphis to provide more efficient service and more on-hand inventory.
